Design For Your Lifestyle

Let’s Get to Work!

Imagine a home designed for the way you live.  There are so many practical and common sense features that are being incorporated into today’s homes.  Homes designed for living often include handicap accessible features, drop zones, coffee stations, pantries, functional entries, energy efficient features and storage, storage and more storage.  Learn more about these ideas and more below!

- What makes a good home design?  Basics:  orientation for privacy and southern exposure where you want it.  Pick a flow that works right for your property, and then you can make the home larger or smaller, change roof lines, at porches etc. The key is start with a design that has the rooms in the right places.

- Functional entries are a big part of home that work.  When designing your home, consider which entrance you will use every day.  Then plan a ‘drop zone’ for mail, keys, pocketbooks etc.  In our experience, mud rooms and back entries are almost NEVER big enough.

- Pantries are making a big come back.  More affordable than cabinets, pantries are enabling homowners to maximize kitchen storage and functionality at minimal cost.
