Another family moves into an Evolo Home…..

Just last week, we wrapped up this beautiful and spacious 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath ranch with an oversize 2 car garage and daylight basement. The homeowners and their family were waiting with a trailer to move right in – so exciting!!!!

emotions in new home design

In a few short months, Evolo will welcome a new model home at our headquarters in Newport, Maine. The design process has been an exciting one, with the arrival of pinterest.com and houzz.com, inspiration is at our fingertips. There is a classic chart I generally share with new homeowners that shows the different emotions that come with building a new home and I have gone through each one of these as I worked to design this new model.

But I can attest that now that the home is under construction at Prestige, any feelings except exhilaration as melted away. Now just the anticipation remains and I look forward to the decorating details! A new model home allows me to pick out some cool new features, and I am especially excited about the kitchen in this new home – oh and the travertine in the master bath, too.

We are so pleased with how this home turned out, the setting, colors, design all fit together perfectly. This home is based on the brighton design, is~1850sq ft, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Here are some photos:

Victoria Model Ranch

We have some very exciting news here at Evolo, we have a new model home in the works! But first we must bid farewell to our beloved victoria model home. The victoria model ranch has been a show piece and inspiration to many of our homeowners, and lest we feel sad, we know it is going to an owner who will look after it very carefully. So, here are a few photos of the Victoria Model 1650sqft 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Details on the new model coming soon (we are busy working on the design!).

Phew, what a wonderful winter it has been here at Evolo. With several projects underway (pictures soon I promise), a new model in the process of being designed, and working with several customers on the details of their new homes for spring – I wanted to take this opportunity to thank our customers, sub contractors, employees and community for their continued support and hard work. When we opened in Evolo in 2005, we could have never imagined a we would have such a wonderful network of supporters. We are grateful.

A little house keeping, our Evolo sign was destroyed on new years eve in a car accident, we are told the driver was unharmed (can’t say so much for the sign!). In any case, our new sign is in the works. Also, in a few weeks, our Evolo Victoria model will be on its way to a permanent home in mid-coast Maine. So, we will be under construction this spring, but still here and open for business. So, please excuse the disarray and stop-in and let us know how we can help you with your new home planning!

New Cambridge Home, out with the old and in with the new

This home, completed recently sits in place of the farm house that stood here for decades. These homeowners made the difficult decision to build new and live on a single floor, rather than put extensive work into the original farmhouse. The apple trees in the front yard not only survived the construction process, but had their best fruit bearing year ever! The kitchen is light, airy, welcoming and functional, the homeowners had a vision for this space and it is beautiful. The cabinets have beadboard styling with a butter yellow finish and the countertops are solid surface staron. With tile flooring, recessed lighting and cabinet details such as pull out trays and a lazy susan – this is a kitchen for gathering, celebrating, cooking and eating.
