This home was custom designed for the homeowner who had some unique criteria. For example, Mr. Homeowner worked a rotating schedule, which meant some nights. So, the design carefully brought the master bedroom far and away from the living space. Mrs. Homeowner loves to craft and sew and the den would be converted into her space which meant it needed lots of light and to be near the living space for convenience. Also, the homeowners wanted to have a space available for the grand-kids and or an elderly parent that might need some assistance in the future. Add a couple of dogs into the mix, and this home was meant for living!
The kitchen in this home has some neat design features. The cabinetry is two tone, a cherry cabinet with black trim. The island, which is one in the black accent color, has two bar heights. One at the lower level, just right for cooking with the grandkids, and the upper level, perfect for barstools and coffee in the mornig. The pantry is behind the frosted glass french door, with the light on inside it adds a warm feel to the space without showcasing the details of what is in the pantry.
The sewing room (or den) in this home, is right off the unique front entry. Spacious, bright and seperated by columns and halfwalls, the front entry is both seperate from the main living space, yet open too it.
